Bigasoft YouTube Downloader Pro is a very complete video download solution. It combines both a great video downloader and a video converter in a single package. This allows you to download your videos and convert them in a single step so that you can play them on a variety of devices. There are conversion profiles for the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, AppleTV, Xbox360, and other multimedia playback devices.
The application is really easy to use and it worked quite well for me during my time with it. To start a download, you only have to go to your web browser and copy the URL of the video that you want to download. When you switch back to the application and click on the URL field, it will be pasted automatically. Then you can choose whether you want to convert the file and select one of the available formats. There is a drop-down menu that lets you choose whether you want to download a normal version of the video or a high definition one (best quality available). In my testing, I was unable to get the app to download HD versions of videos. Whenever I downloaded one, the standard version was downloaded and not the HD one. The speed was on par with other similar video downloaders. I also tried converting a downloaded video using the built-in converter to the H.264 format, and the process went down smoothly.
